1. General Provisions

These points reflect the key aspects of the document that need to be studied to understand the system of progress monitoring and attestation at the university
The Regulations govern the ongoing progress monitoring and intermediate attestation of students at Sechenov University.
It is based on Federal Law No. 273-FZ "On Education in the Russian Federation" and other regulatory acts.
It applies to all types of assessment except the final (state final) attestation.

2. Ongoing Progress Monitoring

Conducted for all disciplines and practical trainings in accordance with the syllabus.
Main forms of assessment: oral responses, tests and lab work, essays/reports, testing, colloquiums, demonstration of skills and competencies.
Results are recorded in the attendance and progress register, as well as in the electronic system.
Grading criteria are established by the department before the start of the course.

3. Intermediate Attestation

Forms: Pass/Fail assessment, exam, attestation, test/quiz.
Grades: "Pass/Fail" for pass/fail assessments; "Excellent," "Good," "Satisfactory," "Unsatisfactory" for exams and attestations.
Centralized Testing (CT): Conducted on a 100-point scale (60+ points = Satisfactory).
Unsatisfactory results or non-appearance are recognized as academic debt.

4. Attestation Procedure

Charging fees for attestation is prohibited
Students must present a valid ID during attestation.
Use of electronic devices during attestation is prohibited.
Duration:
  • Preparation for an oral response: 30 minutes.
  • Centralized Testing: up to 50 minutes.

5. Academic Debt

Students must clear their academic debt within 6 months.
Retakes are possible no more than twice.
Failure to clear the debt leads to expulsion.

6. Provisions for Persons with Disabilities (PWD)

Individual characteristics are taken into account during attestation.
Possibility of extra time for completing tasks.
Use of special technical means (Braille, sound-amplifying equipment, etc.).

7. Appeals

Students can file an appeal within 2 working days after the results are announced.
The Appeal Commission reviews the application and makes a decision to either reject or uphold the appeal.

8. Recognition of Prior Learning

Transfer of credits for previously mastered disciplines is possible upon transfer or reinstatement.
Credit transfer is formalized via a credit transfer form.

9. Individual Curriculum

Developed for students with special circumstances (e.g., accelerated learning).
Takes into account prior education and student abilities.

10. Document Management

Key Documents: Attendance register, attestation sheet, record book (Zachyotnaya Knizhka).
Attestation results are entered into the electronic system and duplicated on paper.
