This document regulates all stages of dissertation preparation and defense in postgraduate programs – from topic selection to public defense. Special attention is paid to scientific novelty, publications, peer review, and formatting according to GOST standards and HAC requirements.

2. SQW Topic
Selected within the scope of the postgraduate program and the university's research activities.
Selection Criteria
- Relevance, alignment with modern scientific trends.
- Based on the postgraduate student's independent research.
Topic Approval:
- Within 3 months of enrollment.
- Changes are possible no later than 6 months before the defense (via application).
3. SQW Structure and Formatting
Complies with GOST R 7.0.11-2011.
Mandatory Sections:
- Title page, table of contents.
- Introduction (relevance, goals, objectives, novelty, methods).
- Main body (chapters, paragraphs).
- Conclusion (findings, recommendations).
- Bibliography.
Submission Deadline:
- 2 weeks before the defense (printed copy to the department).
4. SQW Peer Review
2 reviewers
- specialists with academic degrees in the field.
Timeline:
- Full text provided 1 month before the defense.
- Written review – 2 weeks before the defense.
Review Content:
- Assessment of quality, scientific value, completeness of results.
5. Preparation for Defense
Timeline determined by FSES and individual plan.
Scientific supervisor prepares a review for the SEC.
Additionally:
- An act on implementation of results may be attached.
6. SQW Defense (Scientific Report)
