Central Administrative Okrug (CAO)

This is the historical core of the city, where the main symbols of Moscow are concentrated.

  • A large memorial complex dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). The park's centerpiece is the 141.8-meter obelisk (10 cm for each day of the war) and the Museum of the Great Patriotic War

Northern and North-Eastern Okrugs

Here you can see both monuments of the Soviet era and the largest exhibition complex
  • The largest expo and entertainment complex with architectural pavilions-monuments, fountains, and museums
  • The Moskvarium oceanarium is also located on its territory
  • One of the symbols of Moscow, 540 meters tall
  • At a height of 337 meters, there is an observation deck (enclosed and open) and the revolving restaurant "The Seventh Heaven"

Transport
The most convenient way to get around the center is on foot and by metro. The Moscow Metro is an attraction in itself
Tickets
For some sites (the Kremlin cathedrals, the Armoury Chamber, the Ivan the Great Bell Tower), it is better to buy tickets online in advance to avoid queues and guarantee entry at your desired time
