Accommodation in Sechenov University Dormitories

Our Dormitories
The University has five student dormitories located in different districts of Moscow:
  • Dormitory No. 1: 16 Malaya Pirogovskaya Street (Sportivnaya metro station)
  • Dormitory No. 2: 2A Ozernaya Street (Ozernaya metro station)
  • Dormitory No. 3: 5, 11th Parkovaya Street (Pervomayskaya metro station)
  • Dormitory No. 4: 7, 11th Parkovaya Street (Pervomayskaya metro station
  • Dormitory No. 5: 15 Azovskaya Street (Sevastopolskaya metro station)
How is the Accommodation Process Organized
  • Timing: Mass move-in for new students is scheduled for September 1st, into spaces vacated by graduating students.
  • Waiting List: Accommodation is carried out according to an annual Plan approved by the Rector.
  • Automation: Since August 2020, all processes (waiting list, orders, warrants) are managed through the University's automated software system.
Who Has Priority Right
The following categories of students have a priority right for dormitory placement:
  • Orphans and children without parental care.
  • Students with disabilities (Group I and II, disabled since childhood).
  • Those affected by radiation disasters (Chernobyl, Semipalatinsk test site).
  • Students disabled due to military injury and combat veterans.
  • Those who have completed at least three years of military service under contract.
  • Students receiving state social assistance (with a relevant certificate from social security authorities).

Your Steps to Get a Place

Step 1: Submit an Application

  • After the enrollment order is issued, submit an application for a dormitory place via your Personal Account
  • Priority Categories: Simultaneously with the application, you must upload documents confirming your status to your Personal Account
Step 2: Decision by the Commission

  • The final decision for each student is made by the University Accommodation Commission based on your application and documents
Step 3: Receive a Referral and Sign the Contract
  • If the decision is positive, a "Referral List" (Spisok-khodataistvo) will appear in your Personal Account
  • With this document, you must visit the Social Housing Department to sign a residential lease agreement

Documents Required for Check-in

When receiving the keys, provide the dormitory administrator with:

Dormitory settlement order (issued by the Social Housing Dept.)
Extract from the enrollment order (issued by the MFC)
Medical certificate Form 086/u (can be obtained at University Clinical Hospital No. 4)
Copy of passport (all pages, 3 copies)
3x4 cm photo (2 copies)

For international students additionally:

Migration card (copy, 3 copies)
Detachable part of the arrival notification (copy, 3 copies, if applicable)
For minors: A notarized power of attorney from one parent and copies of parents' passports

Option: Partner University Dormitories

If there are no places available in our dormitories, the University can arrange accommodation for you in a dormitory of a partner university in Moscow
How it works: Submit an application in your Personal Account for accommodation in a partner dormitory
Your spot is saved: You remain on the waiting list for a Sechenov University dormitory. When your turn comes, the Commission will offer you a place in one of our dormitories
