Sechenov University Hosts "Borovsky Readings 2026" Conference
During the opening ceremony, Professor Evgeny Bezrukov, Vice-Rector for Innovative Clinical Activities at Sechenov University, addressed the participants. He emphasized that traditions form the foundation of the medical profession and urged young doctors to master cutting-edge technologies: "I used to tell my students that robotic surgery is the future; now I tell you that this is the present." He highlighted the importance of intergenerational continuity and the development of innovations in dentistry.
Traditionally, the conference began with reflections on the legacy of Evgeny Borovsky. Professor Irina Makeeva, Head of the Therapeutic Dentistry Department, shared stories of her teacher's life and professional career, his contributions to science, and the textbooks he authored with students, including international attendees. Participants also visited the Evgeny Borovsky Museum, located within the Institute of Dentistry, which displays his personal belongings, awards, and an extensive mineral collection
