This document establishes clear rules for transfers within the university, including changing specialty, form of study, and profile. The main requirements are matching the education level, attestation, and availability of vacant spots. In exceptional cases, an unscheduled transfer is possible.

1. General Provisions

Purpose
To regulate the procedure for transferring students to another vocation, specialty, field of study, or form of education at Sechenov University.
Regulatory Framework
  • Federal Law No. 273-FZ "On Education in the Russian Federation".
  • University Charter and local regulations.

2. Transfer Conditions

Transfer is only possible to programs specified in the university's license.
The education level must correspond:
  • Secondary Vocational Education (SVE) → SVE
  • Bachelor's → Bachelor's
  • Specialist → Specialist or Master's
  • Master's → Specialist or Master's
  • Postgraduate (PhD) → Postgraduate

3. Transfer Procedure

Mandatory attestation
  • including mapping of completed courses to the new program
Change of study form
  • (e.g., from full-time to part-time) is conducted without additional attestation stages if vacant spots are available
Transfer Timelines
  • Typically – according to local regulations.
  • In exceptional cases (e.g., inability to continue studies) – through a special procedure.

4. Transfer Process

Submission of application by the student (supporting documents justifying the transfer may be attached).
Rector's order – final decision on the transfer.
Individual curriculum – if there is a discrepancy between the programs.

5. Special Cases

Transfer to fee-based education requires execution of a contract or supplementary agreement.
A commission or authorized department oversees the transfer process.
